All the new prelim tracks are looking great.
Could i just ask one question. All the new tracks shown so far like
Darlington Chicagoland and Homestead are all night tracks on the cup schedule yet the
prelim pics are all day tracks.
Is it easier to produce a day track and then convert to night or is it just the way you like to do things.
Thanx

Yes, it is the way I like to do things for the simple fact of being able to have both Day and Night versions of tracks for those that have lighting. Even though the events themselves are held at night. So the process I use is to create a Day version of the track with lighting fixtures, etc... and then convert it to Night adding shading, etc.... This also helps in the process of releasing tracks as "Special Edition"...you may have noticed the Day version of Lowes Motor Speedway available in the Downloads... |

The track is still some time off to be released.... Got some MAJOR issues with trying out such things as progressive/variable banking. |

J, spectacular! Glad to see that you're back on this. Those pics are awesome.
When you first started this track, I mentioned some issues that were with the original ones. Just FYI - access road entry (hitting the grass would cause for unsafe pit entry), the walls were way too sensitive (brushing the wall under realistic would destroy the engine). You said you knew about the walls and that they used the wrong formula (?) when putting those in. I think there was one more but for the life of me, can't remember.
Great work there J! Hope this is ready a few weeks before the race date. It would be like Christmas!!!! |

My Duck, you have one helluva memory there... ....The deal with the walls has already been addressed....you can be assured of that... ....Am also aware of the pit access road problems and are tediously combatting those... ...To tell you the truth, the original PWF Homestead had plenty of issues to deal with, both raceabilty-wise and just overall appearance....ALL of these issues shall be addressed...
Hopefully the track fairy will come along and poof its wand on this and it shall be ready for the season-ending festivities.... ...Hey, it's wishful thinking.... |

| That's great to hear.. errr... READ there J. If you get it out on time, then that's awesome. But if not, no biggie. I would rather wait and have a spectacular track as the finish then a rush job like some others do. Your talent and dedication is superior. |
