Hello Gentlemen, First, thank you for allowing me to register, 2nd Thank you for some awesome tracks,
you have fired me up for racing again ,,, after a long layoff of racing Nascar 2 to be exact, ha ,, I do not
do much online racing anymore, seems time gets less as I get older, but do run two off line series for my
nieces, nephews and grandchildren, so mainly do AI racing ,,, but do get the wheel out now and again ,,
I have some questions, which I am sure the answer is here somewhere, and maybe you can guide me to
the right spot or even point me in the right direction ,, I have on particular track that I am trying to
get the cars to run like race cars and not demolation derby and dont seem to be getting anywhere with
it ,,, dont remember where I downloaded the track, but it is a banked Indy track, but the cars run
into the wall at first turn after the green flag ,, I have got it so they just bump or brush the wall now,
but still the weaker cars will total out ,,, I guess what I need is a better understanding of the grip, tire
heat up, etc ,,, or something ,,, can you point me into the right direction?
I may not be up to snuff on this stuff as I should be, but now that I have seen you alls work, if anything
I can do to help, maybe, just drop a line, will do all I can ,, again love the work I see you all doing ,,
Thanks ,,,, Donk

Well Donk, WELCOME BACK to the sim racing world, I suppose....
Sounds like your problem with the banked Indy track could at least be one of two things (depending on if it's a quick track geometry edit to add banking to the default Indy or not)...It could be the LP files for the track, which contain the actual racing lines for the AI, OR it could be something simple as to edit the ai_wall_offset = 100 line in the track INI .... If it happens to be the latter, then check to see if the value is at 100...if not, change it....if that doesn't fix the wall crashing, then it's most likely the LP files, which would need to be edited using the Reflap program contained in the sim itself...

Thank You for the info ... will give that a try and see what happens ...if it happens to be the lp files, is there
a program I should use over another... I do have the sandbox editor program downloaded, havent played much with it yet, but looks like it is time to do so .. again thank you ,,, keep up the good work and again
I am here at your disposal if I can be of some kind of assistance ...

No problem...just keep in mind there is really only ONE program, which is contained within the sim itself in Testing Mode, that will allow for editting of the LP files....This would be the Reflap...it can be a rather complicated tool to use, but it's relatively the ONLY tool to edit LP files for the sim..... ...Sandbox is only used to edit such things as the track(s) geometry (i.e. banking)
